Faith transition glasses

This is like seeing correlated materials for what they really are for the first time.

"I've come here to chew bubble gum and kick ass, and I'm all out of bubble gum."

Great analogy, FFM. And the pain of putting the glasses on and taking them off is quite real. I love that film, I watched it several times as a teenager, not wanting to liken it towards church, though.

On a side note, Rowdy Roddy Piper was actually quite good in this, as was David Keith. A great little film.

And the last scene is a corker. I won't put it here to offend tender sensibilities.
"And I don't need you...or, your homespun philosophies."
"And when you try to break my spirit, it won't work, because there's nothing left to break."

A fun blast from the past: Rowdy Roddy Piper and a quote from Duke Nukem!

Being able to see from a fresh perspective is a helpful thing.
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.
