Jesus is offended about a name, but not offended by excommunications of people who tell the truth or who are trying to help the downtrodden and the victimized?

According to the name, he only has part ownership anyway, even though they gave him first billing after they decided to let him back on the billing.

Was God offended by the "I'm a Mormon" campaign several years ago? Did He change his mind in the last five years? Was God just humoring Thomas Monson with this tolerance for easy nicknames?

What if the FLDS decide to adopt the name "Mormon" as their own? Is that OK going forward? Could Denver Snuffer adopt it? Could we reserve the domain name "newordermemberofthechurchofjesuschristoflatterdaysaints.com?"

Yep. Preaching for "modest stipends" and perks is not. Grinding the face of the poor by telling them to pay tithing to you, then using that money for said stipends and perks and fine buildings and so forth is not. Telling the poor that they need to avoid the evils of a dole by working for anything the corp deigns to give them is no victory for Satan - even though the poor would not have had to ask for help if they had not paid tithing to a multibillion dollar corp. And the interest on tithing, i.e. investment money, is used to build malls, condos, buy up Florida, etc (though I'm sure the for-profit arms also help with that). No, none of that is a victory for the bad guy.

After all, churches are built up to make money for the leaders and to give them power over minds and souls, instead of what God really intended, which is no leaders and each person answers only to God for anything they do (i.e. God defines sins, not some man or group of men).
