Happy Autumnal Equinox (Hill Cumorah Day) everybody

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

Happy Autumnal Equinox (Hill Cumorah Day) everybody

Post by MalcolmVillager »

DW and I came to Nee York to celebrate the 195th anniversary of Joe's visits with angel Moroni (or Nephi or a white salamander) at the (or one of) hill Cumorah. Last night at midnight (after BOM musical) as we drove across NYC towards the hills across the river I couldnt help but imagine how special this night is in New York.

Magic!

FAIR would sternly remind you that it's REALLY the Israelite Feast of Trumpets.

Reading through Saints this week has really brought home just how "magical" the gold plates/Moroni/etc stuff is...

Hagoth pointed it out in the annotated essay, but I guess I just forget sometimes how frequently the Autumnal Equinox is used with the plates year after year... it's so obvious what is happening yet no one can see it until they're willing to.

How did I not understand all of this 20 years ago?!
