TODAY IS THE DAY EH.

Post by No Tof »

Just a quick shout out to all the Canadian NOM's out there to wish you a Happy Canada Day.

DW is off to church while I put on my red and white colours to attend a little parade which will go through our little "park town". I imagine that many won't be there to support it since it's time is the same as SM.

What do y'all, do south of the border when July 4 lands on a Sunday?

Donald and Justin can quarrel about cross border tariffs but I trust here at NOM central we can all get along in peace.

For us, it’d be the same as the 4th on any other day. DW and DD’s might go to church in the AM, but we’d still go BBQ and watch fireworks.

Back atcha, from a fellow Canuck.

Today, the kids and I are going to test Sis M.'s resolve on the Sabbath Day, by suggesting we go see the fireworks. She's been lightening up considerably on a number of issues when it comes to Sabbath Day observance, so if she still says no calmly after thinking about it, I'll be OK with that.

I will return and report.

Hulk say Trudeau not enemy. Enemy is orange skinned Thing from New York City. Hulk want smash.
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

Well, I'm impressed with the missus. We actually went to see some fireworks on Canada Day. On the Sabbath. I'm still in shock that happened. We went, we had fun, we came home. ON THE SABBATH.

BEST. CANADA DAY. EVER.

I know it's a little thing in our interfaith marriage, but man, it sure meant a lot to me that she can do stuff like that, that completely goes against her grain. And I know it wasn't just for me, it was for the kids too - what a great day.

Even small victories are worth celebrating with fireworks.

And a big shout out to all my American friends celebrating today.
May the beer be cold, the fireworks safe, and enjoy the company of those dear. 🍺🎇🇨🇦🇺🇸🏳️🌈
