I had quite the anxiety shopping for boxers today, but they feel nice, so I don't really regret it. Not having to wear 2 shirts is wonderful.
I wouldn't feel comfortable lying to get a TR (even though mine doesn't expire for a few months), so I shouldn't go to the temple. I won't miss it. But if I shouldn't go to the temple, why should I continue to wear garments?
I'll probably wear them on and off until I finalize whether I'm out or not.
Of all the things God could have chosen to remind us of our covenants, he chose underwear. Creep.

Word. It's bizarre.
I am not interested in wearing garments, or attending the temple, but I do want to be on file as having a recommend. Really the reason is just so I'm not blacklisted, the subject of gossip, or tattled on to my ILs.
It's so ridiculous that our inward expression of a commitment has become so damned public.

That might matter if I had a wife and kids, but I have too much integrity to lie to a bishop to get a card that says I can enter a lavish building home to weird rituals, so I probably wouldn't try to keep a TR even then.

I've said this before, but I still think garments are the single dumbest part of current church orthodoxy.

I'm jelly. Only reason I am keeping my TR is so I don't get excluded from my kids' weddings.Perfigliano wrote: ↑Sat Apr 14, 2018 7:03 pm That might matter if I had a wife and kids, but I have too much integrity to lie to a bishop to get a card that says I can enter a lavish building home to weird rituals, so I probably wouldn't try to keep a TR even then.
