Sunday afternoon NOM thread

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

You know - the ones that have clothing closets, free medical clinics, food pantries, regular outreach work in the community? You know, the ones that do ALL of that without carding the recipients to see if they're members?
Very true. Instead of taking these points from sister Bingham I'm going to take them from RMNs total since he's the one behind this.

Been plenty of good talks about love, service and Jesus, actually. Good conference in that respect.

Before I forget, I have to pass on a joke by a Redditor:

Of course he can't let a conference go by without a pilot talk!

(I've always found Pontius Pilate one of the more interesting minor characters in the NT...)

Me too. Glad Pilate is getting a little compassion.

Dieter's talk on Jesus is pretty jarring when compared with Anderson and Stevenson's. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that apostles are supposed to be witnesses of Christ, not the CEO of the corporation.

Yep. Which is probably why he did it. :)

I feel like we've heard the Paris Temple story before. Maybe I read it somewhere? IDK

+5 for acknowledging that the people are greater than the institution.
