I didn't listen to any of conference yesterday except a few minutes of Priesthood Session in the car. They were talking about what a wondrous age we live in with a prophet to reveal God's word about whether the men should meet in one room or two.
Later I I watched the local news where they interviewed people coming out of the session who seemed to be blown away by how fortunate they had been to witness prophecy in action. One guy talked about how every men there felt the powerful electricity that lit up the room when they heard the wondrous news.
Geez Mormons are really starved for even the tiniest vapor of hope that their leaders are what they claim to be, and so grateful when they get just the most tenuous thread of a vapor of a hope to support that. That is an announcement that could have been made by a COB staff member via email to the bishops with no pretense of prophetic guidance but the membership needs little crumbs like this SO badly. This is the voice of God descending with almost the same magnitude as when he pronounced "This is My Beloved Son,' and "girls can now hand out towels at the baptism font."
An age of prophecy!
An age of prophecy!

Take a bow, sir.
Learn to doubt the stories you tell about yourselves and your adversaries.
