Didn't President Nelson speak in either session? I would have thought he'd have at least briefly addressed the members.

He also would be the one to announce any new temples, right? Maybe that'll happen tomorrow (if there are any to announce).

It's happened!!!

I take it the numbers have continued their decline. I figured they'd continue to decrease but I didn't think we'd get to the point this soon where they would stop reporting them. Interesting. I wonder if we'll get to see them or if it's just one more thing down the memory hole.

You would think that a major conference such as this would be time to discuss them and talk about what they mean, to reassure the membership. If they're going to just release them later they give up the chance to get their message out, to rally the troops. If they report them later, they turn the opportunity for messaging to the media, traditional and new. The story will be written by others, even if the Church puts out a press release on it. In particular, their top leaders have abandoned the opportunity to speak directly, once again demonstrating their cowardice and their lack of leadership. I suppose maybe they figure that the faithful members will be oblivious as long as they bury the lede and it won't be a news story so the traditional media won't bother reporting it.
