Gong and Soares

Does anyone know about the specific religious leanings of Elders Gerrit Gong and Ulisses Soares? Will they be more like Dieter Uchtdorf or Bruce McConkie?
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.

I'm a little surprised that they went a little outside the mold. Not Utahn. Not married to everyone else. Not big pioneer ancestry. Some different ethnic ancestry. Or even from a different country.

Overall, though, I don't think it makes much difference. Still men. Check. Still older. Check. Still a long history in the institutional Church. Check. Still junior members. Check. Nelson is still in charge, along with his buddy Oaks. Check. And other dogmatic, institutional men in seniority above them. Check.
