MormonThink.com

Post by Hagoth »

I love MormonThink.com. It seems like since the arrival of the CES letter on our shores people have been giving MormonThink a lot less mention. Remember when it even had a billboard? While I applaud Jeremy Runnel's efforts, I have found MormonThink far move informative and useful than the CES letter and I hope the people who maintain it will continue to keep up the stellar work, especially since Brother Palmer shuffled off this mortal coil.

Yep. Long before the CES letter ever existed, MormonThink led me to enlightenment outside of the LDS-Inc. bubble.

Yes, Mormonthink.com was very influential for me. By the time the CES Letter showed up there were very few surprises.

I noticed one old site: "The Mormon Curtain", was recently taken down. :o

Mormon Expositor has gone off line too.

Mormonthink was my primary source of uncorrelated information when I lost my faith.
Always been the good kid, but I wanted to know more, and to find and test truth.

mormonthink.com was my next stop after the essays. I'd hate for it to disappear. It's where I send people who ask me actual questions still.

Are there signs that it is going down? I don't see anything on the home page.

Mormonexpression.com
Flak.com

All gone as well. Sad because these sites helped keep me sane.

I feel kind of bad for those new to the faith crisis experience. Many great resources are gone now.

Hopefully Mormon Think will stay online. That was my “rabbit hole” as well.

It actually is the best path and I'm sure I would have also done so by now. But I live with devout a believer and that accurately describes many of us on this board.

No, I'm not aware of anything like that. I'm just mentioning it to help keep it fresh in peoples' minds. The more we talk about it the more people will go there and the more likely it will have a long life.

Posting to just keep this thread alive.

Are there any contributors of MormonThink on this site here?

MormonThink was the main resource that led me th where I am. The logic they employed was to powerful to continue believing as I had. I hope they stay around

Yes! MormonThink was the bombshell that totally obliterated my teetering faith. After my prison of faith was knocked down, I was free to exploring the wide, wonderful world. I hope the site stays up forever.

Also, if I recall correctly, MormonThink directed me to this community, which has really helped me over the last few years

I made my own copy of the site contents just in case it disappears. It's fascinating reading material presented in a methodical narrative that is gripping reading for an apostate and deeply annoying to a believer.
