Amazon is onto me!

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

Amazon is onto me!

Post by Hagoth »

What the..." I got this in a recommendation email from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076X ... em_1p_0_im

At first I thought it was a fun coincidence until I noticed that the tapir is ridden by a Abraham escaping the priests of Elkenah.

Mrs. Hagoth judged it too ugly and expensive, but it provided a great opportunity to discuss apologetic gymnastics and BoM anachronisms with her. I agree with the ugly/expensive judgement but I might just buy it anyway. She immediately picked up on its purpose as a signaling device to potential kindred spirits at church.

Amazon, it turns out, has quite an impressive array of tapir/horse/exmo products.

Wish I had the guts to wear either of those things to a family function...

Oh my! That's Amazon gold right there!

I agree with Mrs. Hagoth: It is too expensive (and ugly.) BUT, it would be an awesome signaling device. YET... It's still a noose. (An expensive noose.)

My signal at any "religious" functions lately is NO tie (noose.) I would however make the sacrifice to wear the Abraham riding a tapir tie (noose.) Or any other signaling tie (noose.) I need to get the "shoppers" in the family to pick me up an LGBT-friendly rainbow tie (noose) during their sprees.

NOPE, I don't dislike ties (nooses) at all! Why do you ask? :ugeek:

A nice paisley tie to symbolize the Grand Key would be more stylish and conservative.
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.
