Sorry for the macabre title, folks.
Alas mentioned on the Coke thread about changes happening after certain apostles die. I hate to bring up rumors, given the fact I did a lot of retracting, yesterday, but around the time of the November policy, there were rumors on NOM 1.0 that the timing of the policy was not just about gay marriage becoming law, but that Perry had passed. Elder Perry was apparently adamantly against the policy. So the rumors went.
This is more of a frustrated brain fart mini-rant than anything.
Are we just a people sitting around waiting for certain apostles to die?

Won't matter, the replacement with 2 white suck ups will ensure all traditions, oaths, contracts, covenants, bonds, and letters of manrent will continue into the millenium.

I'm not sure which one is worse.

Re: Waiting For Them To Die
I think this happens on both sides of the church. There are people who are waiting for some people to pass hopping that more liberal successors will take their place and enable to church to be more mainstream. However, there are also people waiting for DFU to pass so that more conservative and hardliner can be brought in to make the church a more extremist position.
That's the problem with the current system. With no accountability and lifetime membership, there is no way to predict or direct the way the organization will evolve. It's a crap shoot based on who is alive and coherent at any give moment.

I'd say it's a combination of crap shoot and who happens to be in the driver's seat to extend the callings.Just This Guy wrote: ↑Fri Sep 22, 2017 10:20 am I think this happens on both sides of the church.
