Hot Days with No Garments...
Hot Days with No Garments...
...are awesome!! I took the family to Lagoon yesterday in 95°F weather. It was pretty hot, not Phoenix, but not everyone can enjoy their 115°F days. I put on my slick Saxx undies, shorts, and a tech tee, and off we went. I have never been so comfortable in hot weather, it was great! No chaffing, good airflow, and I didn't feel like I was wearing a wet blanket at the end of the day.
I couldn't hold in how great it felt, and mentioned how nice it was with just one layer to my TBM wife. She was a little hurt that I would rub it in her face that I'm not wearing the holy Gs anymore. She later responded with "I love the layers I am wearing, too!"

Feeling the same way! I've got five pairs of Saxx so far and I'm a true believer! I hated living in Florida when I wore garments. Now it's been upgraded to "meh, everyone's gotta live somewhere."
Re: Hot Days with No Garments...
That's the beauty of it, I can still wear multiple layers! There's no downside! Unless you believe garments provide other benefits, of course.
Florida with garments must have been awful. Stay safe this weekend.Enoch Witty wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2017 10:36 am Feeling the same way! I've got five pairs of Saxx so far and I'm a true believer! Congratulations on the successful outing. It's funny when you have "firsts" sans G's how much you notice things like this.
It's also very difficult to share your joy with a garment wearing spouse. They likely think you're rubbing it in when you're simply trying to share the joy of the experience.
We've noticed a significant reduction in laundry and traveling overnight is easier. We even use a smaller suitcase now.

Enough of the bragging...but I am happy for your progress.
I hate myself sometimes...I'm nearly 50 years old and I can't choose my choice of underwear.
I remember a few years back, on a hot day, a young girl in front of me at Wendy's ordered an iced tea...without hesitation...I sometimes feel so small.

You pay $25-35 for each pair of underwear? Are all heathen undies this expensive? Those saxx do look great though. I still wear jesus jammies most of the time...

I took mine off in the spring and was cold for a lot of the time. I still sometimes wear a thirst under a dress shirt because that's what feels comfortable. But you can't beat only having one layer.
Hopefully someday. 30 years of wearing garments is hard to abandon. 12 years was hard for me.2bizE wrote: ↑Fri Sep 08, 2017 9:36 am Enough of the bragging...but I am happy for your progress.

But while all the TBM's in Ward were at church this morning, I was at my neighbors watching the cardinals game and drinking beer. I tend not to think about garments as much when I'm buzzed.
Strangely enough, the temperature is decreasing ever so slightly here and I've worn a tshirt to bed a few times and been rather comfortable

You still doing okay?Enoch Witty wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2017 12:38 pmHey, thanks! Hoping to be okay; I'm in the panhandle. (And increasingly less concerned about outing myself, apparently.)
Haha, how funny is it that I have to come to an anonymous online forum to brag that I get to choose my underwear!? And that people totally understand how big of a deal it is. Hang in there 2bizE!2bizE wrote: ↑Fri Sep 08, 2017 9:36 am Enough of the bragging...but I am happy for your progress.

Well, I've paid that much for one pair of underwear. I wear them for special occasions that involve a lot of walking and being hot. I highly recommend them. I am going to try out meundies at Korihor's recommendation at some point, I think they are a few $$ less. Usually I just wear the Polygamy Panties, as the new pairs cost a lot and there is an emotional cost still with DW. I will take off the top after work to go play with the kids; for light use the bottoms really are fine as long as I don't think too much about them as a symbol of my ideological jail cell.didyoumythme wrote: ↑Sat Sep 09, 2017 9:04 pm You pay $25-35 for each pair of underwear? Re: Hot Days with No Garments...
I totally am! Thanks for asking. It was looking kind of scary there for a few days, and then it was a total non-event.
I teamed up with a bunch of Mormons to board up a few houses. It was pleasant for the most part, except when church talk came up in the group. But nobody attempted to talk church with me. I haven't been outspoken about my apostasy at all, but people seem to have gotten the picture that I'm not going to be coming to church. Seems fine.

I'm glad to hear it was a non-event! Good job helping out in the community. I love the tapir jokes, they are so funny, and so deserved. Way to represent. I'm overjoyed to here that you didn't wear the helping hands shirt, marketing/PR spin is one of my hot button issues with the church and that is among the most despicable.Enoch Witty wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2017 1:26 pmI totally am! Re: Hot Days with No Garments...
There were no Helping Hands shirts. It was a bunch of Mormons, but it wasn't church-organized, so it was pretty casual. It was on a Sunday, though. There were several remarks about, "Oh, I'm not used to working so hard on Sunday," and, "Oh, this must be how non-religious people live their lives." And I was just thinking "yep!"Linked wrote: ↑Wed Sep 13, 2017 2:02 pmI'm glad to hear it was a non-event! Good job helping out in the community. You can find pairs on Amazon for $20 if you're not picky about style, and one time I managed to grab three pairs each for $15. I wouldn't pay $25-35. I was aghast at even the idea of $15-20. But I couldn't stop thinking about it, and eventually I tried it, and now I won't go back.didyoumythme wrote: ↑Sat Sep 09, 2017 9:04 pm You pay $25-35 for each pair of underwear?
