So this is intended to be a fluff piece from the ever-insightful LDS Living online magazine on the "Charles Schulz LDS Connection":
http://www.ldsliving.com/Peanuts-Creato ... on/s/80409
It's supposed to give you a warm fuzzy about how the daughter of the guy who created Charlie Brown became a member of the Church and served a mission. But here's what I got out of it - scroll about halfway down and see the picture of "Charles M. Schulz outside the temple on his daughter's wedding day."
What I get from the article is that the LDS Church kept the beloved creator of Snoopy from attending his own daughter's wedding. I don't get many warm fuzzies from that, do you?

How the Church Kept Charles Schulz Out of His Daughter's Wedding
"The truth is elegantly simple. The lie needs complex apologia. 4 simple words: Joe made it up. It answers everything with the perfect simplicity of Occam's Razor. Every convoluted excuse withers." - Some guy on Reddit called disposazelph

Great article. Thanks for sharing, but I think Schulz may have been right rather than GBH. Not many warm fuzzies from that, no.
Are you on the square? Are you on the level?

What I got from the article was that Schulz was a very tolerant person. Yes, he was not allowed in the Temple, but he did not appear to make a big deal about that. Schulz realized the church was a hoax, and he told his daughter. But he did not let that define their relationship. Wise man.
