Fast and Testimony meeting in AZ

Post by Emower »

On sunday F&TM, a woman got up and bore her testimony. She said she knew only three things:

1. God is real
2. God is all powerfull.
3. God loves Her.

So thats cool, but then she proceeds to say that based on those things she can follow promptings and her leaders and be guaranteed that she is doing the will of the Lord, that she is doing exactly what is best for her at the time, and that her actions are approved. She encouraged all of us to gain a testimony of those things so that we can be lemmings too.

This is the worst part of Mormonism/Christianity to me.

Yep

Church leaders are not the same as god. Even if they think they are.

Self delusion reinforcing institutional delusions!

I don't miss F&T since implementing the Not Even Once Club Fast Sunday edition.

I'm so torn. Sometimes it's comical, but most times it's depressing. I may have to join that club.
