This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.
Thank you everyone. I'm so glad I asked before going. It helped me mentally prepare and mentally answer.....my actual answers got me a recommend......sigh. Part of me feels like I wish this could be over and part of me is relieved I don't have to worry about this for another 2 years and who knows what could happen with my DH in 2 years!? I hope anyway.
Sorry...I was in your boat a very short time ago. TR had expired and family member is getting sealed soon. I had already told my wife I wasn't going to renew. For the last year, the thought that I wouldn't have to renew is all that kept me sane. But then the day arrived and family decided to go and get married...and reality set in for my wife. And despite the agreed upon action, she begged me to get one. So I did. Apparently I love my wife more than my integrity because I have to lie to get one. No nuance for me. The hardest thing for me is that she wants me to lie. Feels ...so wrongs. I have no words. Anyways! Glad you were able to work it out!

No worries. We've all been there and done that before.
Don't worry, you can go back to watching porn, M-ing, and secretly drinking coffee on Tuesday mornings now that you've got your paper admittance card to the international house of handshakes (Utah?) edition.
Living without a TR is a lot like giving up your Readers Digest subscription. You think you'll miss the funny jokes and inspirational articles and advertisements, but in reality you just move on and life goes on. Occasionally you may pull out a few old back issues to re-read. You can do the same with your temple clothes and wear the bakers hat around long enough to get that elastic scrunchy look embedded into your forehead for nostalgia and old times sake.
Ahhhh, the memories!

I think I just inhaled my coffee. LMAO
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing, there is a field. I'll meet you there.
