What mission did you serve in

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

God is Love. God is Truth. The greatest problem with organized religion is that the organization becomes god, rather than a means of serving God.

Me too, but I came later after the split and was in Nashville. Good times very religiously educational. I came across The Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) folks often. They hated it when we brought up Sidney Rigdon being part of their early movement.

We had some really really old LDS chapels in the mission that are on the historical register. I remember visiting them and realizing that if I could go back in time and visit a meeting, that it likely would be an unrecognizable religion to me.
Awesome,
My first area was Murfreesboro. Then i got transferred to Bristol tn and then the mission split.

What years where you out there. You can pm if you want. I was 93-95. Did you know an elder Faust from Montana. He was in the mtc with me but he ended up on the Nashville side.

 Seriously, it's funny how many of us served or lived there.

Apparently the religious diversity of the southern United states gets us thinking about what constitutes truth. :)

Still worried about outing myself, so I'll just say in the late 80s I lived in a part of Canada where they spoke French.

Go Japan! Is that a flag or an umeboshi on rice?

I mentioned it earlier, but I was in the Hiroshima Mission 2001-2003. We were mission neighbors Achilles! (They split the Kobe mission between Hiroshima and Nagoya right before I got there)
