Silver Girl wrote: Thu Mar 30, 2017 2:43 pm Does this mean the branch members actually believe in the church and want to keep attending locally (rather than commuting?)? Were there any further implications to the invitation for the SP to self-abuse? Exactly how was that phrased?
Well the members all refused to sustain the motion to close the branch. They told him to take his silly plans elsewhere.
Wait, they vote on this stuff? I thought it was more "this is what we're doing" and less "is this OK with you?"
Where's the little old el paso girl when you need her? At church you both vote and it's "this is what we're doing."

It's a shame the church can't break itself of the formula to give the saints in remote areas what they want. Can't staff two dozen callings? No unit. Why not let the members have a branch in a reduced (program wise) capacity?
We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are.

I'm almost sorry I asked. Almost.

I saw a site that helpfully provides Dutch swearwords. You guys could conduct an entire course on that at a progressive USA university. Very creative use of anatomy, diseases and verbs.
