Due to the several questions asked, please see this clarification.
By way of update, the Stake RS event is for members of the Relief Society and their friends only. (This is not a bring your spouse, family or children event. It is an evening out for the Relief Society.)
The notice was sent as a reminder to the stake to ensure that husbands, fathers and others were aware that any home duties will fall to them on Friday night, so that the Relief Society sisters in their households could be free and available to attend the RS event.
Apologies for any confusion.

Stake RS Party Notification
From the stake distribution list. You can't make this stuff up.
I was once a cafeteria Mormon on a hunger strike. Have since found a buffet elsewhere.

What's sad is this is fairly common and the fact is they have to be told.

MoPag - that could be the only way to get me to an RS party. Hated them as a TBM - can't imagine them now.
Does the reminder give anyone else Pleasantville flashbacks? Now I've seen colour ther is now going back....
The only tender mercy is that dads weren't told they had to babysit. Though "home duties" is a pretty close euphemism.
