Happy Birthday Jesus!

This is for encouragement, ideas, and support for people going through a faith transition no matter where you hope to end up. This is also the place to laugh, cry, and love together.

What did you give him for his birthday/church organization day?

Whatever ROI he's earning off the tithing I paid.

He's probably been taking a bath in these last few days but I have confidence that he'll be able to shuffle his investments around to protect his wealth.

Did they mention the April 6th birthday thing in conference? :o
God is Love. God is Truth. The greatest problem with organized religion is that the organization becomes god, rather than a means of serving God.

RFM reported that Elder Bednar made an oblique reference to it. The claim that God told Joseph to hold the founding day of the Church on this day because it was Jesus's Birthday is an embarrassment to the Church among Christian scholars who know better. Only a gherkin like David Bednar would make such a faux pas in the first place (I think he is the only Church leader who has ever made this claim besides Joseph Smith). Glad he did not stick his head in the manure pile a second time.
Good faith does not require evidence, but it also does not turn a blind eye to that evidence. Otherwise, it becomes misplaced faith.
