Re: Netflix Messiah
+1 I really enjoyed this series. I really hope there is a season 2. If you can stomach subtitles, I also really liked the Danish series "Herrens Veje" (Ride upon the Storm) also on Netflix. It also grapples with faith and very imperfect people. It stars Lars Mikkelsen as a dogmatic, but very flawed ...

Re: 420
I will say that MJ has significantly reduced my alcohol consumption; I didn't drink that much before but now I might have a beer like once every two weeks and hard stuff only once a month. I'll also say the alcohol and THC pair up just fine in moderate amounts of course. Same here. I definitely ...

Tieton Cranberry cider. Best fetching cider I've tasted. Not cheap and not sure it's available beyond the pacific NW. I have yet to try their other flavors.

Re: A Netlix/TV show about Joseph Smith would be absolutely fascinating
Every time I see a thread like this my first initial reaction is: Nobody cares about MORmONism . But... That musical about some book related to MORmONism is a smash hit, so If the show about Horny Joe is done right, I guess it could work. :ugeek: Edit: And since the Red Cowboy and I were posting ...

+1 for dry herb vaping. I use the Dynavap. It's cheap and effective. 1 gram lasts me several months (I use once or twice a week). I tried edibles, but after being high for well over 12 hours and very dizzy off of 15mg, I abandoned that method. Nice. It's amazing how much much more efficient ...

Re: What if? New HBO Show on Mormonism's Beginnings
I would LOVE this assuming it was very well written and acted. I've long said there is enough plot material there to keep audiences fascinated for many seasons.

Re: RFM Mormon Apologetic Lecture Series
To me, just listening to some old recordings of an apologist's lectures isn't overly interesting. The last episode, I skipped to the end a few minutes after it got into the recording of RFM's lecture. I would be more interested to listen to RFM play segments of his old lectures and then analysis ...

Re: What are you drinking right now?
Thanks to an exmo friend of ours, we have 25 50ml bottles of liquor to try, one each day in the form of an Advent calendar. Best present ever for noobs learning about the various types of drinks out there. So, far I liked the Jagermeister, but hated the cherry brandy (it burned all the way down the ...

A Paloma, Squirt mixed with Tequila. Not bad.
Edit: tried another with cranberry vodka instead and it was better. That cranberry vodka works with everything I tell you.

I didn't like non-sweet wines much until I had a (red) Cabernet Sauvignon a few times. Now it's about the only wine I'll drink and it just makes me feel good, unlike a lot of other drinks.

Re: Bill Reel's Mythical Jesus Podcast
I just started this a few days ago and intend to keep listening. Bill has a knack for dispensing information without sounding like he's reading a report.
I was also confused by the name. I intentionally avoided it at first because I thought it would focus on deconstructing the story of Jesus.
