Re: Nelson Talk - Chat Thread
What inspired her to write this talk? Why does the church continually try to control what goes on in the bedroom? Just let couples actually enjoy their sex life in any way they see fit. So many wait years to act on that overwhelming urge, fighting tooth and nail to suppress it and then when they can ...

Re: Leah Remini documentary
And don't forget missions. Where 18 yr olds work 12 hour days with basically no break and no freedom and get really crappy health care and consistent guilt trips. Not all mission experiences are bad, some can be really good for a young man. But when they are bad they are psychologically paralyzing ...

Re: How to keep Jesus?
I consider my self a spiritual person so have tried to transition into a more universalistic belief approach visiting different church's. We went to a candlelight vigil on Christmas Eve at a Lutheran church and it was beautiful. My problem with transitioning to another sect of Christianity is I can ...

Re: Joseph Smith's "real" first vision
I know apologists will argue that the understanding of the true nature of God was slowly unfolding as Joseph's knowledge grew. That maybe he didn't understand the full scope of the first vision experience till he was older. But you'd then have to believe God allowed him to teach an incorrect version ...

Joseph Smith's "real" first vision
There seems to be consensus that Joseph Smith's earliest vision account where he talks about going into the woods to seek forgiveness of his sins is the one that seems to be the most corroborated with events of that time. The '38 version appears embellished. This being the case does anyone here ...
