RFM Does President Nelson!
Just had a delightful discussion this morning with Bill Reel, together with Allan and Kattie Mount on the subject of global faith leader Russell M. Nelson's recent Message of Hope and Healing. https://radiofreemormon.org/2020/11/radio-free-mormon-205-givethanks/ I hope you like it! And Happy ...

And yet Gee was on the committee responsible for the inclusion of Olishem as an evidence the BOA is true in the church essay.

Re: New Mormon Stories/RFM interview with Egyptologist Robert Ritner
Does anyone want to take a stab at listing new or groundbreaking comments made during the series? For me I think it was mostly known info with extra ball busting of the apologetic arguments. The Anubis printing plate jackal snout removal thing was new to me. I haven't hit the portion where they ...

Re: My Interview with Brian Hauglid is Up!
I have a block of time to re-listen tonight, when I'm doing nothing else so I'll have more thoughts to give later. But a slight rant, if I may. Thanks everybody for your great comments! I just wanted you to know, Mormorrisey, that I took a photo of your post and texted it to Brian Hauglid this ...

Re: RFM and Evangelicals. Out of the pan and into the fire?
Hi, everybody! Glad you are enjoying the podcast! I want to clarify that Matthew is the quasi-Calvinist. Paul is not Calvinist at all, but more of an Evangelical Christian. It seems to me that no matter what Christian belief system one adopts, it ends up having problems if taken far enough. Hope ...

Brian Hauglid has graciously agreed to be interviewed by your humble podcaster this coming Monday! Brian has recently retired as professor of ancient scripture after a long and distinguished career at Brigham Young University. Are there any questions you would like me to put to him? All the Best! RFM has Big Day at Utah Records Committee Hearing!
Hi, everybody! Sorry I have been so busy with my self-imposed burden of putting up a new podcast at Radio Free Mormon every weekday that I haven't had a lot of time to look at what is happening here at the old homestead. I did have a wonderful day at a hearing with BYUPD in front of the Utah State ...

RFM FINALLY GETS BYUPD AUDIO RECORDINGS!
After two years of litigation, I finally got the BYUPD recordings relating to their investigation of Joseph Bishop. By the terms of the agreement, they were not to be made public until today's date at 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time. I just got done putting them up at radiofreemormon.org. I think that, even ...

Awwwww! Thanks so much!!!
What started out as a brief comment about an ill-conceived argument for why Joseph couldn't have used a seer stone to translate the Book of Mormon expanded into a five-hour frolic down many a new and exciting rabbit hole.
I am glad you like the result.

"Lost in Translation"--New RFM Podcast in Four Parts
I have been working hard for the past month putting together and publishing what has ended up being a four-part podcast dealing with issues related to Joseph Smith's translation of the Book of Mormon. It is called, "Lost in Translation." The final episode, part 4, is now completed and scheduled to ...

Re: RFM & Terryl Givens - interesting insights
One thing I was unable to follow in that episode is who was the target of Mr. Givens subversiveness? Is he working to undermine the church, or is he working to undermine nay-sayers? RFM seamed to go back and forth on that. I think Givens seeks to make Mormonism respectable to intellectuals, and in ...
