Re: NOMference Sunday Afternoon SP 2022!!
So prior to today, Rusty has announced 83 temples. With today's (17 right?), he's at an even 100. Probably been his goal for some time. Hinckley only had 78, Rusty is King!

Sorry Dyches, sounds like that story took on a 'faith promoting' note. Having been in blizzard like conditions many times, going back the next morning to follow your tracks is impossible, they're gone within minutes..

So, after having the link to this sent to me by family just minutes before it started, I did have it playing as I worked (I am one of those actually able to work from home). I agree it was a very positive message. But, all I saw was a nice old grandpa reminiscing on his life, nothing extraordinarily ...

Re: Letters to the Slackers
The church's website prompts you for your name when you open the meeting broadcast. I assume they just use that name vs. the directory. Although, I don't think there is anything preventing you from using a fake name, and I imagine that would make it hard to cross-reference against the master list ...

Re: Rasband's Face-to-Face
Rasband is just following corporate policy....answering the question that 'should' have been asked, not the actual question that was asked. I really hate people should'ing on others.

Re: Church's tendency to misrepresent
Facts tend to mess up good faith promoting stories. Remember the sailor guy who took a walk on the deck of the destroyer during near typhoon conditions to look at the props because the holey ghost told him too...and the missionary who taught and baptized the biker dude, who ended up being his older ...

Re: Sunday Afternoon NOMference!!!
Pretty generic 'apostolic' blessing, any bishop would say the same. And, as 'The' prophet who speaks for God, couldn't he just give a healing blessing out right, instead of the whole 'according to the will of the lord'? Damnit man!! do you not speak for the lord as all your buddies have said or not ...

So, now that the weekend is over and there were no new announcements of substance, i'm reflecting on the rumors. I think many on both sides of the fence were surprised there were zero changes to anything. I would have loved to see the coffee/tea change made official, but I don't need anyone's ...

Re: Bruce R. McConkie Will Be In Rome - In Spirit
Hmmm, I’ll bet the Pocatello temple doesn’t get this type of turnout. Sounds like a super nice corporate retreat though. This has got to be a huge stroke to the egos, a mormon, oops I mean, an ETCOJCOLDS temple in the heart of Catholicism. You can buy anything in this world with money....
