I second the outdoors activities! There are a ton of awesome places to go, at varying distances from Salt Lake. All the national parks are fantastic (my favorites are Zion and Arches so far). Salt Lake may be the least Mormony part of Utah, though. But, yeah, Swig and other similar ones seem to be popping up all over in the more Mormony parts!

Also, I'm still not quite sure what all my family's dysfunctions are... But there definitely are some that the church issues exacerbate.
