Re: NOM for Thee, NOM for He, or NOM for me?
I joined NOM not too long ago after I had left the church. I was hoping for a kinder, more accepting group of people. I was saddened to find even more anger and hatred towards "my people," than I ever felt when I left the church. The ward members for the most part slowly started ignoring me and my ...

Re: NOM for Thee, NOM for He, or NOM for me?
Nice. You are proving the point that I have complained about. Why does NOM have to be about politics? You complain about the church being non-inclusive and yet you rail against people whose political views are even remotely right of center. I am conservative. And yet I have a lesbian daighter whom I ...

Re: Slowly fading away? The future of NOM?
If I can be honest for a minute. As a politically conservative/libertarian/exmo, I have no home anywhere. If you come to a place such as NOM and express a conservative viewpoint your are mocked, shunned, attacked etc. The exmo community in my experience is just as discriminatory against those who ...

Re: Tithing settlement....or whatever they call it now.
So just a little question here. How would you respond when someone inevitably says "the leaders of the church will be held responsible for how they use the funds. We are just responsible to pay our tithing."

I care. I care that the church crumbles and disappears into the dustbin of history.

Re: Dieter Uchtdorfs coffee pot
So many moons ago I worked for a contractor who worked on many of the apostles homes. One week we were working on Elder ....... (long since dead) home and we needed some eight penny nails. I was about to run to the store when Elder ....... interrupted and said "come with me, I have a few in my shed ...

Dieter Uchtdorfs coffee pot
Being as I never really enjoyed coffee, mostly due to the smell, can someone pull out their Urim and Thummim or perhaps use their gift of discernment and explain exactly what this is sitting on the desk behind Mr. Dorf?

Re: The Ward Weirdo and other stereotypes?
Don't forget the "touchy-feely," old man who keeps grabbing at the kids. Everyone is uncomfortable with Brother Biden but no one dares say anything to the old feller.
