They have lots more rebranding up their sleeves. Anything to divert their attention when they make the news
Nelson: Looks like they're following through with Protect every child march today. Screw it, let the young women pass out towels at the temple!

Re: No more “tithing settlement…”
Someone smarter than me and also someone who was a little more active than me....wasn't it already changed to tithing declaration at one time? Like back in the 90s. I just remember tithing declaration being thrown around back in the 90s. Am I up in the night? Lol

Nothing wrong with that in my opinion. They've been lying to us for 200 years. The hardest one for me would be tithing but pretty sure you can just tell them you're doing bank transfers and keeping it confidential.

Re: Why are we not discussing the Brad Wilcox fireside?
What a train wreck. First it's judge people by their countenace and now these racists comments. I'm still working my way through the youth fireside speech. Already I say BS to his initial comments that the percentage of people leaving now is no higher than when he was a youth. Show us some stats ...

Goes back to what Hoax said one time. He basically said if he had a gay son or daughter, he'd tell them to not plan on coming by the house or at least not having long visits.
Can't remember exactly how he put it.

Kool 103.9 Logan UT
I told my daughter my new religion is Kool 103.9. If you love 70's and 80's (softer) music, try streaming this. They play a lot of the forgotten about oldies that the S.L.C stations don't play. I'm addicted to it.

Re: Debate night live thread!!!!!!
The best TSCC can do is find a guy that made the news for smuggling a knife on a plane and then they make this guy an apologist? With TSCC's $, I think they can do better than this. I listened to this debate and it was pretty much a F&T meeting for the MMs. It was all about warm fuzzies and no ...

Re: Forced Turning Point
I know some PIMO bishops think they can make a difference but mental gymnastics for five years just doesn't seem worth it. It's a nice thought knowing that there's some of these bishops out there but the only real change would have to come from the Q15. Bishops are low on the totem pole when it ...

Re: Doubters are lazy learners!!!!!
It's easier for Rusty to point the finger at us at this point. We gotta keep his legacy intact.
They've got a long way to go with their rebranding. Calling us lazy learners is two steps forward one step back.

Last chance here....think I might give the afternoon session a try. From scanning through this, doesn't sound like anyone mentioned old Joe. What about tithing and temple worthiness? I mean you can't sit in church for more than an hour without mention of these topics so surely should be a highlight ...

Re: An April Fools' Reminder: Mormon Youth Sex Interviews Are Foolish
Youth interviews need to stop altogether, with or without a parent. TSCC is bound and determined to keep the young men in line and "worthy" so they can serve a mission. If interviews cease, missions and tithing cease.

Re: Mormon Stories episodes 1412 and 1413
Haven't seen this most recent episode and doesn't really spark my interest. I don't think this would be the one that curious TBMs will want to listen to. I sure loved the Patrick Mason fireside episode. That's the type that might bait TBMs.

TSCC parking lot nearly empty but dumpster overflowing
At least this was the case this past Sunday as I drove past. Dumpster was overflowing with everyone's Christmas garbage. I think people might be trying to recoup some of that tithing. We can't really recoup anything but it still makes me feel better when I make a dumpster contribution.

Wow, let us know if they (wife & kids) just rip the bandaid off or what happens. Honestly now would be the easiest time to pull the plug with the pandemic. Resigning still hasn't crossed my mind and probably never would unless it became a mutual decision with the wife.

Re: The Church killed what NOM was originally intended to be
And then you got crazy talks resurfacing (going viral) on coffee keeping a little old grandma from entering the temple and being sealed to her family. My co-workers (mostly inactive for years) thought this was the funniest thing they've ever heard. Yeah, kind of hard to choose the "middle way" when ...
