Re: Temple changes
- Temple workers are with you (within 10 feet or so) the entire time, including in the celestial room, which makes it difficult to have private moments with your spouse or family. The other changes make sense, but this one is kind of weird. They are reducing social distancing in the celestial room ...

Re: Thoughts on Romney and his March?
Sure all lives matter. Nobody every said they didn't. But you should know how snotty and condescending it sounds when that's your response to "black lives matter". "All lives matter" is seen by the black community as code for "white lives matter more". Because, geez, black people can't even point ...

Re: Frustrated/ambivalent about parent relationship
Anyway, I didn't really want to visit with either person, but it still makes me grumpy and angry when things like this happen. I wonder if it's even worth giving them gifts or anything. He has told me in an email he will always have a different kind of relationship with my kids than his other ...

Re: What’s your work situation?
My office should go work from home this week but we’ve all started unofficially. Our state is starting shut downs (we’re behind) and I expect nothing but grocery and pharmacies to be open by the weekend.

Re: Cancelling Church is PROOF that CFM was inspired
To me, CFM looks an awful lot like the FHE program of my childhood. Every family gets a manual. We teach the lessons in the home. I don't do CFM, but I hope families have treats at the end. The main difference is the coordination with lessons given in ward meetings. However, Mormons have been doing ...

Didn’t he also revoke an apostolic blessing for people standing and *gasp* visiting in the chapel after one of his speeches? The arrogance is strong in this one.

Re: Honor Code clarified (?)
Saw several posts online about NCMOs and dating for fun. If heterosexual, are those also now in violation of the HC? So stupid. I keep getting surprised by how bad the church is at...well...everything related to true Christ like behavior.

Re: Lori Vallow and apocalyptic religion
On the news they said these folks believe the world is ending in July. Anybody have further details? I would be entirely skeptical except that the the pestilence has begun and the constitution is hanging by a thread. 😂. She’s a god and will help the 144,000 usher in Christ’s return July 24, 2020. I ...

Re: Talking around the issues
I would think that the kingdom of God should involve much more helping of the poor, and I would be supported scripturally in that attitude both by the Bible and the book of Mormon. Faithful members disagree. This is what I have been annoyed by since my disaffection. The absolute disconnect by TMBs ...

Re: Shifting towards gay acceptance?
I came late to the drama yesterday but I read the post before it got deleted and I shocked my kids by reading them some of the more awful statements. All of my kids are millennials (I think) and I agree they won’t tolerate this bigotry/discrimination. I have one out, one with his foot out and two m ...

Re: The challenges of attending church
It's weird, I used to do 2 hours pretty easily but died at 3. Now that it's 2 hours, I can barely sit through 1. I have no idea how to handle it better than I am--I just countdown how many years I have left and try to figure out how to get out of attending as much as I can without upsetting the DH.

Re: Mormon guy's adoption scheme...again
I had the same reaction to #2. Felt like a gotcha moment. I also found it odd that he even commented. Don’t the GAs keep quiet until told to speak up? Isn’t the MO to let the official church spokesman make the comment? I have a strong testimony that Elder Rasband was moved upon the spirit of Kirton ...
